Woodwind Yachts Restoration Project
TYPE: 40' Pacemaker Cabincruiser
BUILT: Pacemaker Yachts, New Jersey, 1969.
PROJECT: Remove entire bottom of vessel from waterline down. Build and install 60 new laminated ribs (sistered) 50 new planks and 5 floor timbres. Clean and treat good original planking and re-install with silicone bronze screws. Remove and replace transom, transom framework, forward decks, port forward superstructure, forward lockers, rubrails, splashrails and re-build flying bridge. Completely refinish exterior of vessel.
Hull planking is being removed revealing all the broken and deteriorated ribs.

A new inner transom of marine plywood is installed with solid mahogany planking fastened overtop.
The new transom is varnished with 7 coats of Epifanes varnish prior to the name being painted on.
Vessel is leaving Woodwind Yachts after her re-build and is being transported to Lake Simcoe, Ontario for her launch.
